San Antonio's annual Fiesta came to an end last Sunday, and although we didn't get to make it out the Southwest School of Art & Craft shindig (I was sick and it was raining), we did go to the King William Parade last Saturday.
This was our third year participating in the parade--I was in it with Gemini Ink two years ago and Skyler's Cub Scout troop was in it this year. As usual it was laid back and completely family friendly. It started off at Brackenridge high school and looped around the the historic neighborhood. There were quite a few people by the time we got to Southtown, but luckily we were able to park over at Chris' fire station off of S. St. Mary's and still had time to walk over and nab a good seat. Here are some photos from our morning:
Eleanor with her fiesta beads waiting for the parade to start.
Fiesta pooches
Eleanor enjoying a lollipop
Liam running to catch candy they were throwing (we ended up with way more than we needed!)
The Cub Scouts made vegetable-themed masks for the parade so I made some silly paper plate masks for Eleanor and Liam too. Eleanor, of course refused to take a picture with hers.
Liam got to meet Sparky the firedog when the parade returned.
And to end the morning...
Skyler lost another bottom tooth!
Hope you're all enjoying the beginning of May and I'll have photos of Liam's 3rd birthday party up soon!
