Remember our
anniversary staycation? Well we stopped by this antique mall in downtown (San Antonio) before heading back home. It was three-stories full of old stuff. When we were paying the meter for the car my husband thought we wouldn't need to pay for more than an hour, but I knew better. Here are a few of the things I enjoyed while we were there:
They had two large stands full of old Life magazines. I'm sure you could find some really cool old photos to do something fun with.
And of course I loved digging through all of the kitchen stuff.
My favorites were the cups and saucers on the bottom shelf, but they were a little too expensive for my taste.
An old-timey Singer sewing machine (I wouldn't have anywhere to put one though).
And the inner girl in me couldn't resist this sweet little dollhouse.
And I loved these vintage fans, too bad they weren't working. We found these on the un-air-conditioned third floor and I was dripping in sweat by the time we left. We did leave with an enamelware bowl kind of like
this one, but with blue trim. Although we do have quite a number of thrifted finds in our home, there'd be twice as much if we had the money!
What would you buy at your local antique store if you had piles of extra cash?
