As any of you who have little ones know, kids can get into quite a bit of mischief when you're not looking. This week my four-year-old son, Liam, decided to cut my three-year-old Eleanor's hair. Not a full haircut, but just enough...
...to make chopping of the rest inevitable. I was washing the dishes before dinner when it happened. My oldest son came in saying This is unbe-LIEV-able. Usually I probably would have shouted at him (Liam is the biggest rascal of the bunch), but there really wasn't a point. The hair wasn't going back on.
So, the scissors were taken away and he had a talking-to. It felt good not losing control over something that we'll probably laugh at in years to come. Sometimes it's good to let life just roll off your shoulders. And fortunately Eleanor wasn't the least bit bothered; she was actually excited about cutting her hair short.
