There's been a lot going on this week! I posted my first tutorial with Blueprint Social, my
Dia de los Muertos Skull Banner tutorial which you guys gave such an awesome response to. I also began as a
contributing blogger to
The Southern Institute thanks to a new bloggy friend Caroline, from
Salsa Pie (another awesome blog) who introduced me to
Jenny.
And last, but not least, I got to do a live demo on the local morning show! I was up super-late the night before, and was nervous as heck the day of, but my segment went off without a hitch! If you haven't seen it already, you can watch me demonstrating how to make my reusable papel picado banners on
San Antonio Living here. And for all of you who were rooting me on before and after the show I can't say thanks enough--you really gave me confidence being up there! And thanks to all of you for supporting me in my creative aspirations.

My husband also indulged me earlier this week and took me out for a
impromptu photo shoot. I've been eyeing this colorful wall in Southtown and knew this was the perfect spot for new photos. Granted it's right
on a busy street, and people were driving by looking at us like we were
crazy, but it was still worth it. I'm no fashionista, but it's all me! And I loved the fire hydrant there--my hubby's a firefighter--too bad the breeze kept blowing my hair!
On another page, I'm starting to feel some growing pains with all the great stuff going on. I'm doing some deep thinking about how to reprioritize and still keep sharing great ideas with y'all. I'd love a little feedback--what's your favorite thing about Maker Mama? Do you come mainly for the tutorials, my favorite finds from around the web, thrifty finds, musings on mamahood? I'd love to know--that way I can create more great contain just for you!
Hope you all have a great weekend and I'll see you next week!
