Exploring Shapes at SAMA

SAMA Playdate

Last week I hosted my second play date at The San Antonio Museum of Art, and we had another great turnout!

Ready for our morning play date at @SAMAart. We'll be making our own Milagros necklaces!

Our theme for the day was shapes, and we read Hello Circulos! and When a Line Bends a Shape Begins. We circled up around this beautiful silver necklace and a milagros display nearby, looking for all the different shapes we could find.

For our activity I prepared some tin shapes for the kids to make their own mini milagros necklaces--it was a big hit!

Even the dads were getting their craft on (that's my hubby on the right).

We also had some Cloud Clay and different shaped cookie cutters for the younger ones to play with, which we all ended up playing with anyway. (Have you played with Cloud Clay yet? It's pretty awesome!)

I'm having a blast working with the museum and making art with the kids. I'll be there every Wednesday this month from 10-11am--I'd love to see you there, too!
