I first started shopping at the thrift store almost two decades ago. Middle school me loved that I could buy a heap of quirky clothes and still have money left for a movie. And I still love it. Although it's less movie money and more crafting and date night money now.
I've told you all about my love for thrifted clothes
for years now, but I haven't really shown you how I wear them. Part of that is because for a long time I didn't have a good way of getting photos of myself (aside from blurry ones my kids might take), but also because I wasn't very comfortable in my own skin. Well, I've been through a lot in the past year that's really made me reflect on embracing myself more, and today I'm ready to peek out from behind the computer screen! Here are a couple of my favorite thrifted outfits I've found at my local Goodwill recently.
Niche Dress $8
I was instantly drawn to the unique shape of this dress. I'm not usually an all black and white kind of girl, but this piece was artsy enough to pass in my book. I added a brown leather tie belt (a previous thrift store find) to make it a little more form fitting. The dress is actually from local designer brand Niche
--I think I may have found a new favorite!
Pleione Blouse $4 Pants $6
I have a huge thing for bright jeans and I couldn't pass up this mustard pair! I don't normally wear chiffon though, but loved the jaguar print. I paired both outfits with some ankle booties I bought new by Crown Vintage.
